A Community Building in Need of Support

Trinity Hall has long been a fixture of community life in Henley-on-Thames, but like many buildings of its age, it had reached the limits of what its current form could offer. Henley Community Hub, the charity behind the hall, recognised the building's potential to do far more for the town, if it could be renovated and extended to meet the needs of the people who rely on it.

Renovation and Extension, Designed With Heritage in Mind

Simon Mack Architecture has worked alongside Henley Community Hub to secure planning permission for the renovation and extension of Trinity Hall. The design respects the building's heritage and its place in the town, while opening it up into a bright, welcoming space fit for modern community use. Rather than a simple facelift, the scheme reimagines what the building can hold: a permanent home for Henley Music School, dedicated spaces for children's and youth activities, rooms for counselling support services, and significantly upgraded shared facilities for the wider community.

Planning Granted - The Next Chapter Begins

With planning permission now secured, the project is moving into a detailed costing phase ahead of a community fundraising campaign. It's a project the practice has been proud to support, contributing architectural expertise to a scheme with genuine, lasting community impact, and one it looks forward to seeing built.
